Lateralidad y dificultades lectoescritoras

In this Final Degree Project, a bibliographic review has been carried out about the laterality and the relationship between a bad definition of it and the possible literacy difficulties. Theoretical and practical studies of the last 30 years are included and evaluated, through which it is intended to demonstrate the existence of such a relationship, although it is true that despite the extensive bibliography in this regard, we cannot conclude that it is given, taking into account other factors that may be influencing it. The types and characteristics of each of the forms of laterality that we can find, the stages we go through during its development during the childhood stage and the learning difficulties that may appear, in relation to the Reading and writing. In order to understand the mechanism by which these problems appear, especially in the first cycle of Primary Education, the processes underlying the literacy development are explained, and the changes in the type of laterality, the most common errors that children present in said learning Finally, the most used tests are included when assessing laterality.En el presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se ha llevado a cabo una revisión bibliográfica acerca de la lateralidad y la relación existente entre una mala definición de la misma y las posibles dificultades lectoescritoras que esto puede conllevar. Se incluyen y evalúan en él estudios teóricos y prácticos de los últimos 30 años, mediante los cuales se pretende analizar la existencia de dicha relación, si bien es cierto, que a pesar de la extensa bibliografía al respecto, no podemos concluir firmemente que la misma se dé, debiendo tener en cuenta otros factores que pueden estar influyendo en la misma. Se exponen, además, los tipos y características de cada una de las formas de lateralidad que podemos encontrarnos, las etapas por las que ésta pasa durante su desarrollo a lo largo de la etapa infantil y las dificultades de aprendizaje que pueden aparecer, en relación a la lectura y la escritura. Con el fin de comprender el mecanismo por el cual aparecen estos problemas, especialmente en el primer ciclo de Educación Primaria, se explican los procesos que subyacen al desarrollo lectoescritor, y dependiendo del tipo de lateralidad, los errores más comunes que presentan los niños en dicho aprendizaje. Por último, se incluyen las pruebas más utilizadas a la hora de evaluar la lateralidad, así como una serie de programas de intervención que han resultado ser eficaces para homogeneizar la misma
