Kim D. Jovanovich, MS, P.E., holds the Chevron USA Endowed Professorship in Electrical Engineering. With over 40 years of industrial engineering experience in research and development, Prof Jovanovich began teaching Electrical Engineering at the University of New Orleans as an Adjunct Professor in Fall of 1980 and remained an adjunct until Spring 2012 when he joined the College of Engineering on a full time basis as the Assistant Dean of Engineering. His fields of expertise include telecommunications, laser and fiber optic communications, remote source illumination, and optical sensing and instrumentation
