A Disaster Resistant University Plan operates at a much finer scale with limited data availability, particularly in digital format. Data collection for a DRU plan spans from universities, state archives, spatial data clearinghouses, to field work and beyond. While spatial data and GIS are essential for a sound plan, archival research provides necessary insight and data that is often neglected
