Patients’ perceptions of their own capabilities to self-manage and function despite a chronic health condition are important predictors of recovery and disability. The Low Back Activity Confi- dence Scale (LoBACS) was developed to assess these self-efficacy beliefs in patients with lower back pain (LBP) and related lower extremity (LE) pain who received a surgical procedure. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the LoBACS in a subgroup of patients with LBP receiving nonsurgical intervention
