Recently a clinical prediction rule (CPR) that identifies patients with LBP that are likely to respond rapidly and dramatically to thrust manipulation has been developed and validated. The CPR was developed using 1 specific thrust manipulation technique. It is not known if the results obtained using the CPR would generalize to different thrust manipulation techniques, or to nonthrust manipulation procedures. The purpose of this randomized clinical trial was to examine the generalizability of the CPR to different thrust and nonthrust manipulation techniques
