Recently a clinical prediction rule (CPR) that identifies patients with LBP that are likely to respond rapidly and dramatically to thrust manipulation has been developed and validated. The CPR was developed using 1 specific thrust manipulation technique. It is not known if the results obtained using the CPR would generalize to different thrust manipulation techniques, or to nonthrust manipulation procedures.
