Fiber-reinforced-polymer (FRP) bars are considered as alternative to steel bars to avoid corrosion problems and ensure that structures lave long service lives. Using high-strength concrete (HSC) with glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) and basalt-fiber-reinforced polymer (BFRP) as internal reinforcement can allow designers to reduce member size and increase the structure’s life span.
