Résumé: La formation d'hydroperoxydes de la thymidine est la conséquence primaire la plus importante de l'oxydation de l'ADN induite par radiations ionisantes en milieu aqueux oxygéné. Par synthèse, huit isomères -hydroxyhydroperoxydes de la thymidine ainsi que l'hydroperoxyméthyl-5 désoxy-2' uridine ont été obtenus et caractérisés par les paramètres thermodynamiques de leur décomposition et les produits stables caractéristiques obtenus indiquent deux voies possibles de décomposition. Les isomères hydroxy-5 hydroperoxyle-6 de la thymidine passent par un intermédiaire dioxétane conduisant à la formation de produits stables nouveaux.
