[Extract] Our case studies demonstrate that coaching and mentoring are thriving in the Asia Pacific region, with a wide diversity of application and approach. We see in the case studies an immense and sometimes naive enthusiasm. It is clear that good practice is still in the process of being defined in the region overall - as it is to a lesser extent in America and particularly in Europe, where boundaries have begun to emerge and the focus on practioner competence is well established. In Asia Pacific currently, we see a wide variation in thematurity of coaching, with Australia, New Zealand and Singapore being the most advanced.
