The purpose of this paper is to discuss the views and attitudes of stakeholders towards Singapore's two major integrated resorts which were launched in 2010. The topics of interest are the perceived success of the developments in boosting destination branding and further their role in the predicted long-term success of the tourism industry of Singapore. The two kinds of stakeholders considered include the community and members of the tourism sector. The empirical work conducted was achieved through questionnaire studies and focus groups. In considering the wider applicability of integrated resorts as one style of development in tropical destinations, it is of interest to access the views of a wide range of stakeholders.
