A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Management from the NOVA – School of Business and Economicspurpose of this project is to analyze the impact of the crisis on the quality of health care provided, as well as the extent in which the levels of quality were affected by the decrease in resources and increase in patients’ health problems. By using patient level data from the DRG database, the effects will be estimated taking into account the demand and supply side factors, individual and illness’ episode characteristics.
