In 2010, a new governmental approach to public health was unveiled - Healthy Lives, Healthy People. This was devised in response to poor health & wellbeing outcomes among British people (e.g. high rates of obesity, smoking & alcohol consumption) and recognition of wide health inequalities “between rich and poor” (Dept of Health, 2010). Connection between Public Health & lifestyle choices is strong in the current era of unprecedented rapid social change where the relation between lifestyle and its influences requires scrutiny (Stanwell-Smith, 2015)
