Graham McGeoch considers the 9th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in the context of previous assemblies and of changing circumstances which have required the Council to focus its activities. His paper gives a reading of key issues that marked his experience of the Assembly. These include the option for the poor that emerged strongly from its Latin American setting, and reflection on the Eucharist as it is lived out in the experience of the ecumenical family.Publisher PD
