Vrste S. brachyodon i S. officinalis predmet su istraživanja moderne medicine i vrlo cijenjene u pučkoj medicini. Dok su u prošlosti cijenjene zbog svoje aromatičnosti i visokog sadržaja kvalitetnog eteričnog ulja, danas se proučavaju zbog sadržaja flavonoida i fenolnih kiselina koji su vrlo moćni antioksidansi. U ovom radu spektrofotometrijskom metodom, prema Christu i Mülleru, određena je količina flavonoida, količina fenolnih kiselina prema postupku iz Europske farmakopeje i antioksidacijski učinci DPPH metodom. Za statističku analizu podataka korišten je Studentov t-test. Najveća količina flavonoida u vrsti S. brachyodon nađena je u uzorcima listova iz 2016. godine, a najmanja u uzorku cvjetova iz 2015. godine. U vrsti S. officinalis...
