This work deals with ride quality over artificial single obstacles in terms of perceived noise and vibration. Next to the road obstacles (cleats, plates, holes) also driving speed and suspension are varied. Different methods are used to analyse the data: Components of the suspensions are studied with regard to their component- and system-characteristics in the 10-150 Hz frequency range. Measured characteristics are for example input- and transfer stiffness. The time domain simulation of the road-tires-suspension-system is carried out with a MBS-program using two different physical tire modells.
