Textile reinforced concrete is a composite building material consisting of a fine-grained concrete and a textile reinforcement predominantly made of AR-glassfibers or carbonfibers. As a result of its material characteristics the textile reinforcement combines the advantages of corrosion resistance and an effective and economic positioning in the cross-section of the structural component. The precondition for the success of textile reinforced concrete is the availability of design models and construction rules, which enable the production of durable and sustainable elements.
