The contexts and contents that traditionally have characterized archivists' education are analysed and these questions are inserted into the dominant paradigm of Archival Science, which is inheritor of the conceptions and the model implemented after the French Revolution. This vision is discussed and criticized by the light of a new paradigm emerging by force of the social, economic, cultural and technological conditions of Information Society.
