Analysis of regional disparities in unemployment in Slovakia and their causes

The thesis is focused on the assessment of the state of unemployment in the regions of Slovakia. The aim is through the analysis of population structure by education or nationality, their economic activity or employment by economic sectors, to identify the main causes of significant differences in the reported unemployment rates between eight state regions. The thesis also provides an overview of basic theoretical concepts related to unemployment and an overview of the prior macro-economic and political development in Slovakia
