The main factors that influenced the Turkish-Armenian relations

This thesis deals with two factors that worsened the relations between Turkey and Armenia. The aim of this work is their analysis. The first serious factor is the events from the times of WWI committed by the Ottoman Empire on the Armenian population, known as the Armenian genocide, which Turkey denies almost one hundred years. Armenians demand an official recognition of genocide from Turkey. The second issue is the border between Turkey and Armenia which was closed in response to the Armenian aggression on the territory of Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. Although the war ended, no peace treaty has been ratified ever since. Despite the fact that there has been some development based on an effort to improve relations of the mentioned countries, their relations are still at the freezing point and there is no indication of obvious changes for the better
