Development of International Trade in Selected Products of the Textile Industry and Its Future

This thesis is focused on development of textile industry and international trade with silk and cotton of the first decade of the 21st century. First chapter contains overview of the main theories of international trade from classical economics to monetary economics. In the second chapter we will familiarize ourselves with the trade history on the silk routes, stretching all the way from China to the Mediterranean Sea. Next chapters are dedicated to the analysis. In the third chapter it is analysis of the textile industry and international trade with silk and cotton throughout 2000--2011. The fourth chapter analyzes products of textile industry in terms group 65 of the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC)
