Health is a prerequisite for balanced social, economic and cultural development of society and is the driving force of economic growth. The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the funds spent by the world community to global health, while identifying key donors from 1990 to the present day. The two selected organizations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, demonstrates the need of international cooperation and how international cooperation is essential, if we are to achieve visible changes
