Categorization of virtual social networks

This thesis deals with virtual public and enterprise social networks. The main goal is to cat-egorize selected networks according to selected criteria. The thesis is divided into theoreti-cal part, which is devoted to characterization of virtual social networks, their history and gradual development and into practical part in which is a list of the biggest public social networks ranked by number of active users and a list of the most widely used enterprise social networks. The thesis is beneficial thanks to the most current view of the state of so-cial networks and with the connection of categorization and selected criteria it shows the current trends
