The position of Australia in the world economy

The bachelor thesis examines the position of the Australian economy in the world. This target is accomplished by using selected macroeconomic indicators and by characterizing the international trade and foreign direct investments. The thesis is structured into three chapters. The first chapter describes changes in the Australian economy and compares the macroeconomic indicators with other countries. The second chapter specifies the international trade in goods and services and foreign direct investments. The international trade is divided into territorial and commodity structure and the foreign direct investments are specified by inflow and outflow. The last chapter focuses on bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements and mentions the Australian most important business partners
