A comparison of unemployment rate in the Czech and Slovak Republic

Unemployment is one of the major economic and social problems of our time. The bachelor thesis compares unemployment in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The work consists of the theoretical and an analytical part. In the theoretical part are characterized both countries, unemployment and some indicators, such as the level of economic activity and unemployment. The analytical part compares the countries in different aspects of using data from the Czech Statistical Office, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Slovak Statistical Office and the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family. In some analyzes this work takes into consideration the age structure, gender, education level and geography. The analysis uses appropriate statistical methods.
