Analysis of the impact of economic variables on the timber price

The thesis deals with the association between the average timber price and selected economic variables. It describes the main topics of timber-trade and its price development. It examines the impact of inflation on the real value of timber and the changes in its average price. Using regression analysis it determines the variables that affect the average price. It also analyses how the rate of various product lines impacts the average price of timber. It turns out that the real price of wood is decreasing in the long-term perspective. There is a significant increase on price of firewood. The most significant impact on the price is caused by the ratio of exports to the total amount of timber. With increase of one percentage point, the average price increases of 19.56 CZK per m3
