This thesis deals with the problems of protective marking, respectively registered trademarks, designations of origin of products and the relationship of these legal protections to consumers. In the theoretical section cardinal areas of this issue are described. Attention is paid to the legal treatment of this issue in the Czech Republic. In the practical part is in the model situation demonstrates the process of application of law in the process of registration of the trade mark. The conclusion of the work includes the assessment of the situation in the areas of the protection and valorization of applied marking procedure
