Možnosti uplatnění modifikovaného dřeva ve stavbách

The bachelor thesis summarizes modified wood and describes its use in buildings. The wood has changed physical and mechanical properties. It closer discusses about thermally modified wood because it is the most widespread in the world and also in Czech Republic. It has lower values of mechanical properties, but the thesis shows the possibility of using wood as a construction material in the areas with higher amount moisture content. Measurement confirms change of mechanical properties, especially bending strength, and the results of measurement compression strength show the possibility of use thermally modified wood in areas exposed to pressure
