Faith for the benefit of family functioning

The thesis deals with faith in a family and its contribution to the functioning of a family. The first chapter introduces the concept of a family, discusses the prototype of a well functioning family, the problems faced by a contemporary Czech family and the role of a social worker while working with a family. The second chapter introduces the reader to the topic of religion. The third chapter discusses a Christian family. First the marriage itself, then the characteristics of the family in question, basic functions and roles in the family. The fourth chapter refers to raising children in a Christian family, describes the basic steps to create a closer relationship between God and children and mentions obedience of children. The fifth chapter points out the importance of a prayer in a family life. The last chapter is a reflection on how the Christian faith can help in functioning of a family
