The thesis is focused on the issue of aquarium fish nutrition, with an emphasis on nutrition in breeds. It deals with the scaling of nutrient requirements and potential problems associated with their deficiency or imbalance in diets. Increased space is devoted to the characteristics of the basic feeds used in fish nutrition, method of acquisition, adjustment and feeding technique. The final part provides an overview of selected commercial compound feeds available in our fair, methodical evaluation of their nutritional value and legislative measures
