This bachelor thesis deals with dining tables matters. Theoretical part handles a history, recent production recherche, demands for ergonomy, safety and normative requirements. In design part, there is developed a blueprint of dining table for private interior. Main focus is functional and aesthetic aspects and finding of compromise between the two. The base aspiration is a simple solution sutiable to all requirements. A prototype made in icked company is a final product
