Charakteristika roubených staveb na území České republiky

The aim of this paper is to make an analysis and characterize individual structural and typological elements of timbered buildings in the Czech Republic. The paper is focused on different localities in the Czech Republic, which are reviewed in terms of architecture and it's structural and typological elements. The characteristics of timbered houses was performed using technical literature. It was found that particular localities were influenced by specific livelihoods, by altitude and by original structural materials. Using all the collected data from this paper, it is possible to find out differences in structural and typological elements of timbered houses and their dependence on specific localities
