The beginnings of the craft of making musical instruments in the Cheb region

This bachelor thesis deals with the craft of making musical instruments in the Cheb region, mainly in the town formerly known as Scőnbach, from its beginnings to the World War I. My home region and two master luthiers, Tomáš Skála and Emil Lupač from Luby, inspired me to do this research. The aim of the thesis is to decribe the less-known field of art that we often ignore. It introduces the local situation, informs about difficult beginnings and presents brand new information on the mastery of their craft
