The effect of european partnership on the agricultural policy of Syria

The application of the agreement partnership between Syria and EU will be reflected on the Syrian agriculture in general and on agricultural policy. The objectives of this thesis are to evaluate the impact of the agreement and its implications on the Syrian agricultural policy and to identify the problems and difficulties faced by the application of the convention and to find the best ways for Syria in order to achieve gains of this convention. I describe the reality of the current agricultural policies in Syria, as well as the relation with the EU, and to study the requirements of the convention and the surrounding circumstances and the chances of success. The thesis runs on agricultural sector in Syria to exam the realities of the agricultural policy and there were a special attention paid on wheat as a strategic crop in Syria. I use a statistical method to obtain the desired results, thus method is The Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM)
