Importance of the European Region Danube-Vltava for tourism development

Aim of this thesis was based on the analysis of the potentials of the European Danube - Vltava region to identify common areas of tourism development and design of the joint development area leading to the creation of a competitive destiance as a European tourism product.The results of the analysis showed that the hypothesis was confirmed. It was assumed that the common areas for tourism development, cycling, hiking and cultural tourism. The region has many bike trails and cultural sites, including sites inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List. The hypothesis is confirmed by the interviewed experts in the field of tourism and regional development as well
