Brownfields in the various regions of the Czech Republic

This thesis is focused on brownfields in Czech regions. Thesis is divided into theorical and practical part and explains key terms such as brownfields. Thesis describes development of brownfields, their consequences and suggets possible solutions of the situation. Thus there are outlined reasons of their revitalization, obstruction and benefits of regeneration. To regenerate brownfields it is demanded to gain financial support, that´s why in the thesis there are highlighted options of funding from household or private resources, as well as from structural funds. Finally, the thesis includes several documents related to brownfields. The beginning of practical part introduces national and regional databates. Each region of the Czech republic is briefly characterized with its quantity of brownfields, their previous usage and there are outlined regional activities to tackle brownfields.
