This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of autochthonous musculature on scoliotic posture. The term autochthonous musculature means the deepest layer of back muscles situated along the spine. Autochthonous musculature is one of the components of the spine stabilization system. Together with the diaphragm, the transverse abdominal muscle and with the pelvic floor muscles it supports particularly the lumbar spine. The function of the autochthonous musculature is to set correct mutual position of two adjacent vertebrae and thus prevent the spine from incorrect loading.
