Assessment of the financial situation of a particular enterprise

This Bachelor thesis is based on an assessment of the financial situation of a specific company Dopravní podnik města České Budějovice, a. s. The financial and economic situation is assessed using the indicators of the financial analysis during the period 2007 2012. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the definition of financial analysis and the explanation of what and whom it serves. It also contains the necessary sources of information, techniques and methods used in a financial analysis. The practical part includes the application of indicators to a specific company. First, the movement of funds is expressed by the vertical and horizontal analysis. Then the financial situation is analyzed by net working capital and indicators of liquidity, profitability, indebtedness and activity. These indicators are compared with a set of five comparable companies. According to the results of those common indicators and comparison with a set of companies I suggested a few improvements that could help the company
