Russian Folk Dance and Music Ensembles

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is to outline and to discuss folklore and chosen Russian folk ensembles of songs and dances. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the topic to readers and to compare folk ensembles what is the difference among the particular ensembles and what is characteristic for them. The first part deals with folklore in general and is divided into several chapters which are related to this topic. The second part of the thesis deals with a development of Russian theatre until 1800 and from 1800 to 1850. The third part is practical and is focused on chosen dance ensembles and responses to submitted questionnaire. The final section is reserved for The Alexandrov Ensemble choir that is the best known, the biggest and the most popular folk ensemble in the whole Russian federation
