School Maturity Issues during Enrolment to School and after School Entry

The aim is to detect problem areas of school maturity of children at the time of school enrollment and after entering school, to ascertain which problems remain, and which problems are necessary to focus on, to prepare for school and during school enrollment. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic concepts, such as school maturity and its components, school readiness, school success, causes of school immaturity. The following describes the diagnostic possibilities of children's maturity for school, and the current state of the problem of school maturity of children and the most common reasons for the postponement of schooling. The practical part presents the results of mixed research, which was determined by the success of the children in various activities during school enrollment. Which were subsequently compared with the testimony of the first grade teachers about the abilities and skills of these children at the beginning of school. Based on these results, the research provided recommendations for the eligibility of a child for school attendance at school enrollment and suggestions to support troubled areas of school maturity
