Fairytale and drama in kindergarten

This bachelor´s thesis focuses especially on working with fairy tales and drama at nursery school. The theoretical part surveys children´s literature and specifies its genres, particularly fairy tales and their types (folk tale, artificial tale, etc.). It describes the importance of literature for child´s personality development. Further, this thesis tries to define how family background can influence child´s relationship to reading. The practical part states ways of making fairy tales more interesting and thus attractive for children. It shows practical examples of working with fairy tales using games, drama, puppets, music or art realized with a particular group of children in kindergarten in Jihlava. The practical part of this thesis also contains a questionnaire survey aimed at parents, asking whether and how they read fairy tales to their children and what genres they mostly choose. In the survey, interview with their children is also included. The goal is to find out which fairy tales children prefer and in what ways their opinion on fairy tales differs from their parents´
