A complete methodology for determining the initial stress tensor of convergence measurements on the two profiles perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tunnel was developed and implemented. It was designed and tested algoritmus for optimization that allows to design the location of measurement points in advance on a pair of rails so that measurement errors are eliminated. It was designed a new methodology for measuring convergence, based on the use of a laser beam. Measurements were carried out at the convergence of three different profiles in Dolní Rožná locality
