This study examined the relationships among post-divorce custody arrangement, parental conflict and young adult psychological adjustment. One hundred twenty-four participants (62 men and 62 women) from intact families (N = 42), divorced families with sole custody arrangements (N = 43), and divorced families with joint custody arrangements (N = 39) completed measures of post-divorce parental conflict, heterosexual trust, emotional attachment to and coalition with parents, perceived love and consistency from parents and psychological adjustment.
