Opportunities and limits of tourism development of the town Tábor

The diploma thesis analyses the current state of tourism in the town Tábor and evaluates the utilization of the potential of the town and the whole region for tourism. In the theoretical part there are at first defined the crucial terms related to the topic of the thesis and after that the importance of tourism in the Czech Republic as well as the potential of tourism in South Bohemia are outlined. The analytical part deals with the analysis of tourism industry in the town Tábor and in the region Táborsko. Another chapter is devoted to the sustainable development of tourism in the town including its involvement in Healthy Cities of the Czech Republic Association and the projects for the tourism development are also mentioned. This is followed by the evaluation of the current level of tourism in Tábor, which is complemented by a SWOT analysis of the town. In conclusion, the author of this thesis provides her suggestions and recommendations
