This paper addresses the social phenomenon of ageing and emphasizes the importance of past experiences of ageing individuals when creating new solutions to deal with the issue of elderly care. Thus, this paper explores what role the ageing community can play in creating new service solutions for social innovation in senior care and also looks to ascertain how past experiences of the elderly can empower them to develop their own services. A comparative analysis is adopted as a method to respond to these aims. Two projects are used for this comparative analysis.
