Religious structure of the population of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the religious structure of the population of the Czech Republic. The aim is to characterize and analyze religion of population in the Czech Republic, that means expression of belonging to churches and religious organizations at the state and sub-national levels - regions, districts and regional cities, based on Census in 2011. Attention is also focused on the development and changes in the religious behavior of people in the Czech Republic in comparison with the previous censuses in the 2001 and 1991. Based on information obtained from the literature and statistical sources also explains the basic terms related to the geography of religion and religiosity in general, describe the evolution of religion and define specificities of the different religions, churches and religious communities registered in the Czech Republic. Finally, provides an overview of the available literature and articles devoted to the topic. The research results and their interpretation are complemented by tables, graphs and maps
