Visual markers are an easily distributed technology allowing situated information access with standard mobile devices. Earlier works on wearable visual markers have largely focused on use case based research using QR code or similar markers. This paper aims to identify general preferences for the approach based on a user study (n = 60), reporting e.g., that the preferred location for tags was the right side of the chest and the arm. Study participants' perceptions related to the tags were generally neutral, but highlighted intrusiveness and usability as potential risks.<br/
