Module of digitized grammars: its nature, purpose and intended audience

The paper presents a virtual environment in a specialized digital library in the World Wide Web, called “modul digtalizovaných mluvnic“ (MDM, module of digitized grammars). MDM is located on the websites Vokabulář webový (Web Vocabulary), run by Ústav pro jazyk český AV ČR, v. v. i. (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic – Czech Language Institute). Begun in 2012, MDM contains digital „facsimilia“ of prints from the 16th to 19th century, mainly of grammars of the Czech language, and their characteristics in text, annotations and references.
