El potencial del enoturismo o ruta/rutas del vino en La Rioja

The world of wine has been the engine of the tourism at La Rioja. It’s one of the most important economic activities of the region and an identity sign. In this way, it was logical that wine tourism became the tourist reference of the region. But, as the whole of the tourism, its development took place at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21ts century. Since then, wine tourism is a referent in La Rioja, with a defined tourism infrastructure and with an institutional support from all areas. Thus, a rich heritage material and immaterial has been valued, a culture, and all elements linked to viticulture. The present work, analyze the potential of wine routes in La Rioja, starting for the existence of a Wine Route of Rioja Alta.El desarrollo del turismo en La Rioja ha tenido como locomotora el mundo del vino. Siendo una de las actividades económicas centrales de la región, así como una seña de identidad, que el enoturismo se convirtiera en un referente turístico de la región era una consecuencia lógica, pero, al igual que el conjunto del sector turístico, su desarrollo no se produjo hasta finales del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI. Desde entonces, el enoturismo ha pasado a ser una potencia en sí mismo en La Rioja, con una infraestructura turística definida y con un apoyo institucional desde todos los ámbitos. De esta forma, se ha puesto en valor un rico y diverso patrimonio material e inmaterial, una cultura, y todos aquellos elementos vinculados a la viticultura.
