Inform women about treatment options incontinence

Women in particular suffer from urinary incontinence. This disease affects very often their bio-psycho-social needs which are not met adequately. At the same time, it is reflected in all spheres of women's life and women have to limit their needs relating to the personal, social and work life and that because of incontinence. This thesis was focused on the awareness of women about possibilities of treatment for urinary incontinence. In the theoretical part, there is described anatomy of urinary system, possibilities of treatment for urinal incontinence and nursing care provided by a midwife and that of a woman suffering from urinal incontinence. The research data for processing of the practical part of the thesis were obtained through quantitative research. The data were collected by means of questionnaires. The questionnaires was intended for women of every age in the disrict of Český Krumlov. Three aims were chosen for the research in the practical part. The first aim was to find out the awareness of women about possibilities of a surgery of incontinence. The second aim was focused on the awareness of women about possibilities of a conservative treatment for incontinence. The third aim was to find out whitch treatment women should prefer in the case of stress incontinence. Three hypotheses were determined on the basis of these aims. Hypothesis 1 ?Women have information about the surgical treatmet for stress incontinence? was not confirmed. Hypothesis 2 ?Women do not have information about the conservative treatment for incontinence?. This hypothesis was confirmed. The aim 2 was fulfilled. Hypothesis 3 ?Women prefer the surgical treatment in the case of stress incontinence? was not confirmed. The results show that the awareness of women should be increased and that about qualification and competens of the midwife who could help them with their problem. An information booklet could serve for these purposes and women could find there this kind if information and also the information relating to the treatment for incontinence
