Physical activity of older people in residential services.

The thesis is focused on the physical activity of seniors in selected residential services in the district of Český Krumlov. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the analysis of Czech professional journals and books of literature and verified Internet resources related to the topic. It deals mainly with the fields of aging and old age, health and diseases, and the appropriate movement activities in old age too. The practical part is focused on the finding if the physical activity is an integral part of the seniors in selected residential services in the district of Český Krumlov, whether seniors dedicated to physical activities and if the seniors would use a model created by the program with a focus on appropriate physical activity. Data were collected by questionnaire surveys, structured interviews and participant observation. The creation of the model of physical activity of older people was an integral part of the practical part of the thesis The results show that physical activity is an integral part of seniors in selected residential services in the district of Český Krumlov that most seniors currently devoted to physical activities and that most seniors use created a model program with a focus on appropriate physical activity
