The regulation of public television in the Czech Republic and in chosen states of The European Union

This bachelor thesis is focused on public television and on the system of regulation in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and in Poland. The opening chapters describe and explain the basics terms and the evolution of public broadcasting of television in chosen states of The European Union and in the Czech Republic. Another part, based on an analysis of legislation and related documents, refers to the regulation of public broadcasting television in the European context and then deals with the legal framework for the functioning of the Czech television, system control, regulatory authorities, methods of funding, regulation of advertising and outlines the topic of digitalisation. The following parts deal with legal framework, regulatory authorities of public television, methods of funding and regulation of advertising in Slovakia and in Poland. The final chapters try to summarize the finding of the previous chapters and to diskuss the future development of public television
